La XXXVIII Reunión Anual de la SAN se realizará en el Auditorio de la Universidad Nacional de San Luis, San Luis, Argentina, del 3 al 7 de octubre de 2023. El encuentro se realizará principalmente en formato presencial. 

Se invita a la comunidad SAN a que envíen sus propuestas de Simposio:

Requisitos y condiciones:

• Cada simposio debe incluir como máximo 4 disertantes, recomendando considerar la paridad de género.
• La duración de los simposios será de dos horas.
• Se sugiere incluir al menos un/a disertante con lugar de trabajo en Argentina.
• Quién organice el simposio puede participar como disertante o sólo como organizador/a.
• Quién organice el simposio deberá contactar a quienes haya propuesto como disertantes y contar con su aceptación antes de enviar la propuesta a la CO.
• NOTA IMPORTANTE: El/la organizador/a deberá indicar si desea que su propuesta sea candidata a la presentación ante la ISN, según se informa más abajo.

Solicitamos que se informe a los/as disertantes residentes en el exterior que no nos será posible financiar pasajes internacionales pero que se les proveerá traslados terrestres desde y hasta del aeropuerto (San Luis o Mendoza) al hotel, inscripción y alojamiento. Los/as disertantes locales tendrán cubierta su inscripción y se solventarán los gastos de alojamiento en base compartida.

La propuesta debe incluir:

        Nombre, lugar de trabajo, e-mail de quien organice.

        Título del Simposio y resumen que explique el foco del mismo.

        CV breve de cada disertante o link personal a su CV.

        Título, resumen de cada charla y formato elegido (virtual o presencial)

Las propuestas serán recibidas hasta el 1 DE MARZO INCLUSIVE a la casilla de correo electrónico congreso.anual.san@gmail.com con el Asunto “Propuesta de simposio SAN2023”.  A la brevedad, recibirán un correo confirmando la recepción de las propuestas (en caso de no recibir confirmación reenviar la propuesta o contactar a nuestra secretaria Silvina Ceriani saneurociencias@gmail.com).

La Comisión Directiva conjuntamente con la Comisión Organizadora seleccionarán las propuestas y darán a conocer los resultados de la selección de simposios antes del 27 de Marzo.

PRESENTACIÓN ANTE ISN:

Uno de los Simposios será seleccionado para ser presentado ante la International Society for Neurochemistry (ISN) en el llamado “Support for small conferences or symposia (ISN-CC)” dentro de la opción: “ISN Symposium in a conference of another society or scientific group” cuyo link es: https://www.neurochemistry.org/support-of-small-conferences/.

En caso de ser seleccionado, el/la organizador/a deberá tener la propuesta completa según los lineamientos de la ISN para el 22 DE ABRIL, incluyendo la confirmación de cada disertante. La presentación ante la ISN la realizará la CD SAN en combinación con el/la organizador/a antes del 30 de ABRIL. 

No es necesario que el/la organizador/a sea socio/a de la ISN dado que la SAN se encargará de que el Simposio postulado cumpla con este requisito.

The XXXVIII Annual Meeting of the Sociedad Argentina de Investigación en Neurociencias (SAN) will be held at the Auditorium of the National University of San Luis, San Luis, Argentina, from October 4 to October 7, 2023. The meeting will be mainly held in a face-to-face format.

The SAN welcomes the submission of symposium proposals:

Guidelines:

• Each symposium must include a maximum of 4 speakers. Please consider gender balance.
• The allocated time slot for the Symposium is two hours.
• It is suggested to include at least one speaker with a workplace in Argentina.
• The Symposium organizer can also participate as a speaker.
• The organizer shall contact the proposed speakers and seek their acceptance before sending the proposal to the Organizing Committee.
• IMPORTANT NOTE: The organizer must indicate if the proposal can be a candidate for submission to the ISN, as detailed below (*).
• The SAN is not able to cover international air tickets but speakers residing abroad will have their registration, accommodation and transfer from and to the airport (San Luis or Mendoza) covered.
• Local speakers will have their registration waived and accommodation expenses covered on a shared basis.

The proposal must include:

• Name, affiliation and e-mail of the organizer.
• Symposium title and summary explaining its focus.
• Brief CV of each speaker or personal link to their CV.
• Title, summary of the talk and chosen format (virtual or in person)

Deadline for submission: MARCH 1^st.

The organizer will receive an email confirming reception of the proposal (if you do not receive confirmation, resend the proposal or contact our secretary Silvina Ceriani saneurociencias@gmail.com).

The Executive Council together with the Organizing Committee will select the proposals and will announce the results of the selection by March 27.

(*) PRESENTATION BEFORE ISN:

One of the Symposia will be selected to apply to the International Society for Neurochemistry (ISN) in the so-called “Support for small conferences or symposia (ISN-CC)” within the option: “ISN Symposium in a conference of another society or Scientific group” whose link is: https://www.neurochemistry.org/support-of-small-conferences/.

If selected, the organizer must have the complete proposal according to the ISN guidelines by APRIL 22, including the confirmation of attendance of each speaker. The Organizing Committee will aid the Symposium Organizer in preparing the application before ISN (Deadline of ISN application: APRIL 30).

It is not necessary for the organizer to be a member of the ISN since the SAN will ensure that the Symposium nominated meets this requirement.
